রোমীয় ৩:২৩-২৫
[ পবিত্র বাইবেল (SBCL) ]
কারণ সবাই পাপ করেছে এবং ঈশ্বরের প্রশংসা পাবার অযোগ্য হয়ে পড়েছে।
কিন্তু খ্রীষ্ট যীশু মানুষকে পাপের হাত থেকে মুক্ত করবার ব্যবস্থা করেছেন এবং সেই মুক্তির মধ্য দিয়েই দয়ার দান হিসাবে বিশ্বাসীদের নির্দোষ বলে গ্রহণ করা হয়।
ঈশ্বর প্রকাশ করেছিলেন যে, যারা বিশ্বাস করে তাদের জন্য যীশু খ্রীষ্ট তাঁর রক্তের দ্বারা, অর্থাৎ তাঁর জীবন-উৎসর্গের দ্বারা তাঁকে সন্তুষ্ট করেছেন। এইভাবেই ঈশ্বর দেখিয়েছেন, যদিও তিনি তাঁর সহ্যগুণের জন্য মানুষের আগেকার পাপের শাস্তি দেন নি তবুও তিনি নির্দোষ।

[ কিতাবুল মোকাদ্দস (MBCL) ]
কারণ সবাই গুনাহ্ করেছে এবং আল্লাহর প্রশংসা পাবার অযোগ্য হয়ে পড়েছে।
কিন্তু মসীহ ঈসা মানুষকে গুনাহের হাত থেকে মুক্ত করবার ব্যবস্থা করেছেন এবং সেই মুক্তির মধ্য দিয়েই রহমতের দান হিসাবে ঈমানদারদের ধার্মিক বলে গ্রহণ করা হয়।
আল্লাহ প্রকাশ করেছিলেন যে, যারা ঈমান আনে তাদের জন্য ঈসা মসীহ্ তাঁর রক্তের দ্বারা, অর্থাৎ তাঁর জীবন্তকোরবানীর দ্বারা তাঁকে সন্তুষ্ট করেছেন। এইভাবেই আল্লাহ দেখিয়েছেন, যদিও তিনি তাঁর সহ্যগুণের জন্য মানুষের আগেকার গুনাহের শাস্তি দেন নি তবুও তিনি ন্যায়বান।

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
and are justified by His grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,
whom God put forward as a propitiation by His blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God’s righteousness, because in His divine forbearance He had passed over former sins.
