Verse 1 (Psalm 1:1a):

Μακάριος ἀνὴρ
ὃς οὐκ ἐπορεύθη
ἐν βουλῇ ἀσεβῶν

( Makarios anir

Blessed (and happy) is the man
who did not walk
in the counsel of the ungodly.

Καὶ ἐν ὁδῷ ἁμαρτωλῶν
οὐκ ἔστη
καὶ ἐπὶ καθέδρᾳ λοιμῶν

Neither did he stand

Ὅτι γινώσκει Κύριος
ὁδὸν δικαίων
καὶ ὁδὸς ἀσεβῶν ἀπολεῖται

Because the LORD knows
the path of the righteous,
