Rabindra Sangeet as Christian Song
Rabindranath Tagore, the first Asian Nobel Prize Laureate in Literature, had deep respect for Jesus and had written poems inspired by Jesus.
Though not of Christian origin, this Rabindra Sangeet (রবীন্দ্র সঙ্গীত) has been incorporated into Bengali Christian worship. This Rabindra Sangeet is listed as hymn 141 in the Bengali Christian hymnal book titled “Khrishta Sangeet” (2nd edition published in 1929).
