Lyrics

Verse 1 (Psalm 84:1):

( Os agapita ta skinomata Su,

How beloved are Your encampments,
O LORD of the Hosts!

( Isakuson mu Kyrie! )
Listen to me O LORD!

Verse 2 (Psalm 84:2):

( Epipothi ke eklipi i psykhi mu
is tas avlas tu Kyriu.
I kardia mu ke i sarx mu
igalliasanto epi Theon Zonta. )
My soul yearns and faints
for the courtyards of the LORD.
My heart and my flesh
rejoiced over the Living God.

Listen to me O LORD!

Verse 3 (Psalm 84:3):

( Ke gar struthion
evren eafto ykian
ke trygon nossian eafti
u thisi ta nossia eaftis )
For even the sparrow
found itself a home,
and the turtle dove a nest herself,
where she will put her nestlings,

( ta thysiastiria Su,
Kyrie ton Dynameon,
o Vasilefs mu ke o Theos mu. )
(at) Your altars,
O LORD of the Hosts,
my King and my God.

Blessed are those who dwell
in Your house,
unto the ages of ages
they will praise You.

( Makarios anir
o estin antilipsis afto para Su.
Anavasis

Blessed is the man
to whom help is from You to him.
He made a covenant in his heart

in the Valley of Weeping,

( Oti krisson imera mia
en tes avles Su

Because better is one day
in Your courtyards
over thousands (elsewhere).

( Exelexamin pararriptisthe
en to yko tu Theu mu
mallon i ykin me
en skinomasin amartolon. )
I chose to be neglected
in the house of my God
more than to settle me
in the encampments of the sinners.

( Isakuson mu Kyrie! )
Listen to me O LORD!

Verse 11 (Psalm 84:11):

Because the LORD God
loves mercy and truth,
He will give grace and glory.
