ਮੈਂ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਜਾਵਾਂ ਜੇ ਅਸਮਾਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ
ਓਥੇ ਹੈ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ

ਸੁਬ੍ਹਾ ਦੇ ਪੰਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਫੈਲਾਂ

Were I to go down across the sea,
were I to spread the wings of the dawn,
تے اوتھے وی تیرا ہتّھ مینوں
یا ربّ راہ وکھاوے گا
‘ਤੇ ਓਥੇ ਵੀ ਤੇਰਾ ਹੱਥ ਮੈਨੂੰ
ਯਾ ਰੱਬ ਰਾਹ ਵਿਖਾਵੇਗਾ

ਜੇ ਮੈਂ ਆਖਾਂ ਕਿ ਮੈਨੂੰ
ਘੁੱਪ ਹਨੇਰਾ ਹੁਣ ਛੁਪਾਵੇਗਾ
( Je main aakhaan kih mainuun
ghupp hanera hun chupaavega, )

the pitch darkness will hide me now,
میرے گِردے ہنیرا وی
تدوں چانݨ ہو جاوے گا
ਮੇਰੇ ਗਿਰਦੇ ਹਨੇਰਾ ਵੀ
ਤਦੋਂ ਚਾਨਣ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ

Or where shall I flee from Your presence?
If I ascend to heaven, You are there!
If I make my bed in Sheol, You are there!
