یا ربّ تُوں میری پناہ ہیں
سو تُوں اے میری جان
ਯਾ ਰੱਬ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਪਨਾਹ ਹੈਂ
ਸੋ ਤੂੰ ਐ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਾਨ
( Ya Rabb Tuun meri panaah hain.
So tuun, ai meri jaan, )
O LORD You are my refuge.
Therefore you, O my soul,

خداوند دے وچّ رہندی ہیں
اوہ تیرا ہے مکان
ਖ਼ੁਦਾਵੰਦ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈਂ
ਉਹ ਤੇਰਾ ਹੈ ਮਕਾਨ
( Khudaawand de vicc rehndi hain.
Ouh tera hai makaan. )
dwell in the LORD.
He is your home.

Verse 1 (Psalm 91:10):

سو تیرے اُتّے کدی وی
نہ آفت آوے گی
ਸੋ ਤੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਕਦੀ ਵੀ
ਨਾ ਆਫ਼ਤ ਆਵੇਗੀ
( So tere utte kadi vi
na aafat aavegi. )
Therefore no disaster
will ever come upon you.

تپالی تیرے ڈیرے وچّ
نہ کدی جاوے گی
ਤਪਾਲੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਡੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ
ਨਾ ਕਦੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ
( Tapaali tere dere vicc
na kadi jaavegi. )
No plague will ever go
into your camp.

Verse 2 (Psalm 91:11):

ربّ تیرے واسطے کرے گا
فرشتیاں نوں فرمان
ਰੱਬ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਕਰੇਗਾ
ਫ਼ਰਿਸ਼ਤਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਫ਼ਰਮਾਨ
( Rabb tere waaste karega
farishtiyaan nuun farmaan )
The LORD will for your sake
command the angels

کہ اوہ سبھ تیریاں راہاں وچّ
ہوݨ تیرے نگاہبان
ਕਿ ਉਹ ਸੱਭ ਤੇਰਿਆਂ ਰਾਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ
ਹੋਣ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਿਗਾਹਬਾਨ
( kih ouh sabh teriyaan raahaan vicc
hon tere nigaahbaan. )
that all of them be your guards
in your pathways.

Verse 3 (Psalm 91:12):

سو تینوں آپݨیاں ہتّھاں تے
اوہ آپ اُٹھاؤݨ گے
ਸੋ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਿਆਂ ਹੱਥਾਂ ‘ਤੇ
ਉਹ ਆਪ ਉਠਾਉਣਗੇ
( So tainuun aapniyaan hatthaan ’te
ouh aap uthaaun’ge, )
So on their own hands
they will lift you up,

تد پتّھراں دے نال
تیرے پَیر نہ ٹھیڈے کھاوݨ گے
ਤਦ ਪੱਥਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ
ਤੇਰੇ ਪੈਰ ਨਾ ਠੇਡੇ ਖਾਵਣਗੇ
( tad pattharaan de naal
tere pair na thede khaavan’ge. )
then your feet will not trip
over the stones.

Verse 4 (Psalm 91:13):

تُوں شیر تے سپّ لتاڑیں گا
شیر بچّے اجگر وی
ਤੂੰ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਤੇ ਸੱਪ ਲਤਾੜੇਂਗਾ
ਸ਼ੇਰ ਬੱਚੇ ਅਜਗਰ ਵੀ
( Tuun sher ’te sapp lataarenga,
sher bacce ajgar vi. )
You’ll trample lions and serpents,
lion cubs and pythons too.

تُوں پَیراں ہیٹھاں پھیہویں گا
پھیر کھوپڑی اوہناں دی
ਤੂੰ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਫੇਹਵੇਂਗਾ
ਫੇਰ ਖੋਪੜੀ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ
( Tuun pairaan hethaan phehvenga
pher khopari ouhnaan di. )
You’ll crush their skull
under your feet thereafter.
