لَقَد صَعِدتَ بِمجدٍ
أيُّها المسيحُ إلٰهُنا
وفرَّحتَ تلاميذك
بِمَوعِدِ الروحِ القُدُس
( Laqad ṣa3idta bi-majdin
’ayyuhaa l-Masiy7u ’Ilaahunaa.
Wa-farra7ta talaamiydhak
bi-maw3idi r-Ruw7i l-Qudus. )
Verily You’ve ascended in glory.
O Christ our God.
You gladdened the disciples
by the Holy Spirit’s promise.
إذ أيقنوا بِالبركة
أنَّكَ أنتَ ابنُ اللهِ
المُنقِذُ العالم
( ’Idh ’ayqanuw bil-barakah
’annaka ’Anta Bnu Llaahi

وَهَا أَنَا أُرْسِلُ إِلَيْكُمْ مَوْعِدَ أَبِي. فَأَقِيمُوا فِي مَدِينَةِ أُورُشَلِيمَ إِلَى أَنْ تُلْبَسُوا قُوَّةً مِنَ ٱلْأَعَالِي.
وَأَخْرَجَهُمْ خَارِجًا إِلَى بَيْتِ عَنْيَا، وَرَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ وَبَارَكَهُمْ.
وَفِيمَا هُوَ يُبَارِكُهُمُ، ٱنْفَرَدَ عَنْهُمْ وَأُصْعِدَ إِلَى ٱلسَّمَاءِ.

Luke 24:49-53

And behold, I am sending the promise of My Father upon you. But stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high.”
And He led them out as far as Bethany, and lifting up His hands He blessed them.
While He blessed them, He parted from them and was carried up into heaven.
And they worshiped Him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy,
and were continually in the temple blessing God.
