اوہ دھنّ جس دے
بخشے گئے سبھ گناہ
تے ڈھکے گئے
سارے اوگݨ سدا
ਉਹ ਧੰਨ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ
ਬਖ਼​ਸ਼ੇ ਗਏ ਸਭ ਗੁਨਾਹ
ਤੇ ਢਕੇ ਗ​ਏ
ਸਾਰੇ ਔਗੁਣ ਸਦਾ

( Ouh dhann jis de
bakhshe gaye sabh gunaah
te dhake gaye
saare augun sada. )
Blessed is he whose
all sins are forgiven
and all blemishes
are concealed.

نہ ربّ جس دے
پاپاں دا کردا حساب
اوہ دھنّ ہے
تے دل اوس دا نہیں خراب
ਨਾ ਰੱਬ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ
ਪਾਪਾਂ ਦਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਿਸਾਬ​
ਉਹ ਧੰਨ ਹੈ
ਤੇ ਦਿਲ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਖ਼ਰਾਬ

( Nah Rabb jis de
paapaan da karda hisaab,
ouh dhann hai
te dil ous da nahiin kharaab. )

میں جد چُپّ رِہا
تد میری ہڈّیاں
کراہندے ہوئے
سارا دن گلؕ گئیاں
ਮੈਂ ਜਦ ਚੁੱਪ ਰਿਹਾ
ਤਦ ਮੇਰੀ ਹੱਡੀਆਂ
ਕਰਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ
ਸਾਰਾ ਦਿਨ ਗਲ਼ ਗਇਆਂ

( Main jad cupp riha,
tad meri haddiyaan
karauhnde hoye
saara din gal gayaan. )
When I remained silent,
my bones then
rotted away
as I was groaning the whole day.

میرے خدا

ਮੇਰੇ ਖ਼ੁਦਾ
ਤੇਰਾ ਹੱਥ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ
ਭਾਰਾ ਰਿਹਾ

( Dine vi te raatiin vi,
mere Khuda,
Tera hatth mere utte
bhaara riha. )
In the day and also at night,
O my God,
Your hand upon me
stayed heavy.

تے چربی میری
ساری پِگھلؕ گئی
تے گرمی وی
خُشکی نال بدلی گئی
ਤੇ ਚਰਬੀ ਮੇਰੀ
ਸਾਰੀ ਪਿਘਲ਼ ਗ​ਈ
ਤੇ ਗਰਮੀ ਵੀ
ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ਕੀ ਨਾਲ ਬਦਲੀ ਗ​ਈ

saari pighal gayi
te garmi vi
khushki naal badli gayi. )
And my fat
had all melted
and summer was also
swapped with dryness.

ਹਾਂ ਮੰਨ ਲਇਆ ਮੈਂ
ਤੇ ਹਾਂ ਡਾਹਦਾ ਬਦਕਾਰ

Haan mann layaa main
